All new clients require an initial physiotherapy appointment. This will include a discussion of your animals history, current management and any past injuries or concerns. A static and dynamic assessment will be conducted to allow me to observe your animal moving to see how they use their body and how they carry themselves. I will then conduct a palpation assessment which allows me to identify tissue states, pain or discomfort. I also perform a range of motion assessment to identify flexibility of a joint or body part, and help assess potential damage and determine fitness. All of this information will guide me to create a tailored treatment plan for your animal which can include various home management changes and therapeutic exercises.
